The day Eric Reynolds came over to the house a few years ago to talk about his idea for a new apparel company, then called UTW (Unfuck the World), I was excited by his vision and his passion. As the team came together with brilliant editions like Chris Van Dyke, Stephen Gomez, Hal Arneson, Mark Galbraith, and Ian Yolles I got excited enough to make a small investment in the company. So, with a great deal of momentum Nau was launched.
Nau did so many things right. It changed the way outdoor clothing looked, the way it was made, the fabric that was used, and the way it was distributed. Some would say that the Nau team was too ambitious, trying to change the culture of the outdoor business. It did cause quite a stir in the industry changing the way people looked at apparel. Unfortunately, this spring Nau ran into funding issues and ceased operations. It was a sad day.
Yesterday, I found out that Hal, Mark, Ian and a few others will join Horny Toad and restart Nau. I am again full of excitement. These guys will make Nau 2.0 even stronger and continue to change culture in a positive way.
Good luck Hal, Mark and Ian. We're rooting for you.
Bo6Ygx Cool! That's a clever way of looking at it!

Dear Natalie, here I sit in Budapest (my second home next to Dresden/Germany), evedyray I cycle through this beautiful yet rundown city, which is often hell for bikers. (No bike roads, holes in the street, sometimes literally big enough to put your bike in). Imagine: two years ago almost all daily bikers here greet & knew each other (by face or bike). Its a town of 3 Million People. Now there are more, too much to know them personally. But it is still the only community to find here (in public places). Here pensioniers look for food in trash bins. So the government (thins it) has other problems than bike roads. Our official CM is the biggest in the world (60000), but it is a violation of the original idea. Cops blog the streets, You have a fixed route etc. The bikers on the alternativ CM get usually arrested.Well each day, during work (I am a writer) I visit Your site, & get away from all this. It is actually one of the very few websites (next to the site of Cheryl Dunn) I visit. Here I dream of bikes (where I am born, next to the dutch border everyone is riding bikes) & I dream of different cities, of this carjungle here becoming a better place to live. & it is starting, more & more bikes evedyray. Still no Sweetpea as far as I have seen. I dream of changing this soon. By this way: thanks a lot. Minden jf3t (as hungarians say), Alles Gute!, that means: all the best, Andreas
