One of the things that I really enjoyed about Al Gore's movie The Inconvenient Truth was his effort to transform the cultural conversation from one based on fear, greed and self-interest to one based on community and sustainability that will not only benefit each of us but benefit us all.
The mission that both Nau and Good Magazine use, Doing Well by Doing Good seems to hit the nail on the head. Have you seen other companies with this same mantra?
I've written about Nau, Good Magazine and Vail Resort's purchase of wind power but I'd like to learn about more companies who are transforming the context of the way they work.
My sense is that this shift in the cultural lexicon is the first step to see positive changes occur not only politically but also culturally.
How do we all become apart of this conversation?
john, you may want to check out the stuff that kevin jones & co. are doing at http://www.xigi.net/. it's very much aligned with the things you've mentioned above.
