I’ve been editing an interview I did with Rob Deflorio, Managing Director of Mother New York for my new book, Spark. In the Mother offices in both New York and London everyone sits at one big table. While it’s a bit easier in New York with 20 employees, the London office does it with over 100 people. That’s right, 100 people sitting at the same table working! Not only that, everybody is assigned a random spot and moves every three months. Rob told me it was hard to get used to but the chaotic environment promotes more transparency and communications. It also helps get everyone to understand the greater goals of the company.
